Your text
All tools, including the pipeline, run with JavaScript inside the page. Text you paste or type and files you open or drop are read by your browser and never uploaded. The pages make no network requests with your content. Apart from the Cloudflare Web Analytics script described below, the only files they fetch are the site's own scripts, styles, fonts and icons.
What is stored in your browser
To save you retyping, TextPivot uses your browser's local storage (not cookies). It stays on your device and is never sent anywhere:
- The last input on each tool, if it is under 100,000 characters. The Clear button on a tool deletes it.
- The options you last chose on each tool, and the steps of your last pipeline.
- Your light, dark or automatic theme choice.
You can remove all of it by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. In a private window, it is discarded when the window closes.
Shared pipeline links
When you build a pipeline, its steps and options are written into the page address after the # sign so you can share it. That part of an address is not sent to the server when the page loads. Your input text is never included in the link.
Page-view counts, not tracking
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare adds to each page as it is served, to count page views. It works without cookies or cross-site tracking, and it never receives what you type, paste or drop into the tools.
There is no advertising, no tracking pixels and no cookies. Fonts and icons are served from this site, not from third-party services.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare as static files. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the standard information a browser sends when requesting a page, such as your IP address and the address of the page, in order to deliver it. Your text is never part of those requests.
Links to other sites
The footer and some pages link to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which apply once you follow a link.
